If your friend is on the same level as you and on the same server, there is every chance that you get placed in the same League on Day 3 of the new season. If he isn't on your server then that won't happen. How did you add the friend? Through Facebook or through T11?

You can't switch servers so if he's not on the same server as you then whilst you can support him in matches, he cannot be in the same League as you. If you see his team name in your Cup or CL competitions, then he is the same server as you. Hope that clarifies.
