Day 5 - Level 32 Transfer Market woes...
The Palace Casuals Management is still plugging away trying to find a diamond in the rough that is the Transfer Market. As at 15:05BST today, the 5* element (sorted by Quality (descending)) looked like this.
Attachment 67856
6 of the lower ones listed (including S. de Poorter) are on sale from one club, S. de Poorter is on the block for the 4th day running, and a couple of the others might well be multiple listers. As is usual, the higher-Quality ones are subject to a bidding frenzy from multiple managers - not worth getting the Tokens out. A 31yo ML with SA might have interested Casuals - but as they rarely use ML/MR, and the SA (Dribbler? Really?) doesn't appeal - not today...
EDIT: de Souza eventually went for $154M...
Same with Crystal Palace, still pending the league match of today but for now, all victories this season.
Today was curious, loosing 0-1 I just moved of position the MC's, just right to left and vice + focus passing in right side, and suddenly 3 goals came.
So we are now leaders of group.

@sunil, I won champions league with 0 bonus last season.....

Day 5 - Palace Casuals report.
Just a League match today, and against the League leaders, with a 2.9Q deficit, so nothing a little bit of luck and nice defensive formation couldn't fix...
The Management was late logging on and only got as far as sorting morale out before the 3 minute shutout activated, leaving the team set in 4-5-1V against what was, earlier today, another 4-5-1V formation. When the match started, however, the opponent had changed to 3N-5-2V and the Management decided to let the current formation ride, but with hard defending active. After an early attacking storm from the home side had abated, the battered defence started to assert itself and create a few counter-attacks. From one of these, left-winger Andre Faisca was set free, and took the ball from inside his own half to the opposition penalty box, where he jinked with two defenders a couple of times before burying the ball in the back of the net. The visitors took this goal lead into the break, where the Management changed to the recommended counter for 3N-5-2V (3N-2(DML/R)-2-2(AML/R)-1 Butterfly) and changed to defensive orders. The defence then received another battering at the start of the second half, but held firm, with goalkeeper David Zwillus cleaning up those shots that got through the defensive screen, earning MoM for his performance. Casuals held onto their single goal lead until the end, squandering two late free-kick chances to really make the game theirs.

So far, so good.
Attachment 67861
New GK doing pretty well. 5-5-5-4 saves over the last four matches.
Attachment 67862
This season I am doing nothing but watching my team losing games and the reason is unknown !
I am using appropriate tactics and orders but out of nowhere I see other teams score in a few mins as if my team is collapsing
I am saving my tokens and not going to spend it anymore until I find a way to get back to win again
and all I get from AM is "luck was not on our side" "this is the match we should have won but we couldn't" "to lose this match was a real disappointment"
Attachment 67863
Iam away 9 points from the first place and have no chances to win the league and if things will be the same i will tank this season
@peter Congrats, my team will not play consistently without win bonus except league,
AC Karnataka Level 9
6 League titles
2 cup titles
1 CL title
Day 5 - Palace Terriers report.
Champions League day and Terriers played away at a team with 1.8Q advantage in Starting XI. Playing Narrow Diamond with Normal/Thru' Middle orders against the ultra-defensive 3-2-3-2 Defensive Hexagon, the Management told the team to get stuck into their opponents (hard tackling). The opposition switched to 4-4-1-1 soon after the break, and scored the opening goal while the Terriers were reshuffling into their standard 4-5-1V. After a couple of late substitutions, the Terriers demonstrated the art of the late equaliser, as defender Francesco Largou got onto the end of a Luca Giovanni Pidutti corner to give Terriers a share of the spoils.
Attachment 67871
Back in the League, and Terriers got back to winning ways after 5 consecutive draws, going Nap against a 3.3Q poorer team. Esneider Gil benefitted from a couple of games off and scored a hat-trick, then Luca Giovanni Pidutti bagged a brace, to make the final score 5-0. Both the scorers rated 10, but Pidutti grabbed MoM due to his 2 assists. New left-sided defender Hiroaki Moriyasu, after a cameo appearance yesterday, was handed his first start in Terriers colours, rating 8.3.

CL doing good with 5:0 win, 3 from Bessa
Attachment 67875
Excelent win in LEAGUE 2:1 against strong opponent, with Bessa scoring again.
Attachment 67876
Bessa have now 8 goals in 6 games, and he is now 1SP from the 7th star.

3-0 at green table in league, why is always happening to me, when I have the chance to smash them, I win just by 3-0 ... the only good part is I haven't lost any condition or moral.
Transfer Market has been crap in my server, @ my level .....mostly 3stars, 4stars and low 5 stars
Interesting match of Cl tonight:
Beckham scored x2 freekicks, so as I always say, -one have to do the job to find a man for freekicks-corners, because save points- here gave us the 3 points and group 1st place.
2nd factor and thats why I liked really this game:
I saw that the other team had his AMC very aggressive, finally had a yellow and. I focussed all passing thru the centre, result? 2nd yellow :)
And this is another thing I have to add to my guide, apart from sub' when a player dont appear etc...
If we see a player very aggressive, and recive a yellow, focus all to him.
I have to open a thread to have more feedbacks about this.... to see if work in many cases

Day 6
Got off to a rather unfortunate start to the new season with our Legions of Légende Voici failing to score despite our heavy attacking tactics, and getting constantly punished on the counter, making us loose matches by 1 or 2 goals despite our lion's share of possesion.
The League of all extremely active and capable and talented managers did'nt quite help either and we have'nt even developed a stable, consistent formation and all this tinkering is clearly not helping.
Will shift to a more defense stable, yet have enough going forward formations, in the hope to score as much points as possible and stay in the cup.
See this: http://forum.topeleven.com/bugs-tech...ing-crazy.html .
Maybe you will notice some similarities (results, match statistics and so on) with your situation. I used good enough tactics too, and I had the quality advantage, and yet I had many poor results. It was as if the game was deliberately penalising my team or the percentage efficiency of my team had been reduced significantly. Weaker opposing teams, using inferior formations, scored many goals way too easily against my team; even a team using a GK as MC scored 2 goals. In many of those situations, the goals came quickly one after the other, that is the time space between them were small. In some highlights, I could clearly see some fishy things going on, for example, suddenly an opposing weaker player became superman and fly through my midfield and defense easily without any resistance from my players at all. In some matches, I could clearly see how the game was setting things up so that the opposing team could score a lot of goals.
Well.....I woke up around 3:42 am Nigerian time to ease myself and I decided to know what's going on in the Transfer market and I was surprised to see Nordgens everywhere.... If I had enough Tokens I could have signed about 8players at least, but I signed 2nordgens and a veteran goalkeeper for 3 tokens.....I think I am okay with the team for now....I have some fast trainers and before I know what's going on they would be 1Sp away from 6stars.
Oh wow, the cards.... The Invisible Man is still performing well, though... :p
through in the Cup for the FireCats

Day 6 - Palace Casuals report.
Up for an 03:31AM BST kickoff in England  for the 2nd Leg of the Cup Qualifying Round. Casuals held a 3-0 lead, and were obviously raring to go, whereas the opposition manager didn't turn up until the second half. Which was opportune, as he got to see first hand Maarten Wiegman cancelling out his sides first-half opener and Anatoliy Mustafa put the visitors into the lead. Engaging panic mode, he then made a trio of substitutions which did little to affect play, until Angelo Musto transgressed in the penalty area and gifted the home side a penalty equaliser. His blushes (and win bonus) were spared, however, by Wiegman netting his second of the match to give Casuals a 3-2 win, and a 6-2 aggregate score.
Attachment 67953
Palace Casuals had a difficult home match in the League in the early afternoon, facing a formation from a better-Quality team that required a better DMR than was on hand for the counter-formation. Having failed to bring one in from the Transfer Market, the Management reluctantly sacrificed most of their remaining Tokens on a DR/DMR from the Scout Market - if you rarely need a DMR, make sure he can be useful elsewhere...
Attachment 67955
The new recruit was immediately pushed into action at DMR in a 3N-3W(DM)-2-2 formation against their League opponents, and it soon became apparent that the old DMR just wouldn't have cut it in this match. Under the cosh from the start, he defended like a tiger and eventually had opportunities to break on the counter, raining in a succession of crosses which kept the opposition defence and the Casuals forward line busy. The home side had several opportunities in the first half, but failed to find the net. Coming from behind twice, it was the twin strikers that eventually won the day. Jack Auger put two close shots over the bar in the first-half, but struck with an equaliser early in the second, which was quickly nullified by the visitors. Auger then provided a hat-trick of chances for fellow-striker Maarten Wiegman, and he took them all, helping Casuals record a 4-2 victory.

5-1 through in cup so I tend to disagree.
Attachment 67962
Welcome back to another episode of " it is gonna be a long and frustrating season" followed by "goalies gone wild (again...)". First off, my main team had the return match of the cup game. The away game was lost with 1-0. A game where we were equal but his goalie only made 5 saves (for crying out loud, he stopped every shot of me). So I got some new players (finally) and powertrained the bejezus out of my team. Fully ready for my home match. Bring it.
Game starts and he gets 2 shots and of course it is 0-2. I am 12 shots and 6 at target and of course I didn't score. His goalie did not make a save. What????? Ok, lets boost attack, go into agressive mode, switch player around. Wham, 3-2. Yeah need 1 more goal. I get 3 more shots at target, but nooooo. 89th minute, yellow card and a penalty for him :( 3-3 and out of the cup.
My second team who has the highest quality in the league and almost one every league so far has a tough time. Even though my team consists of 6 and 7 star players I keep loosing and tieing against teams with 4-5 stars. Last game was 2-2 where I had double the shots and on target. My goalie made 5 saves but still he got 2 in (with only 7 shots at target). His goalie had 6 saves and was the better man. Oh well, tough start. It happens. Stuck at place 10 with only 3 points from ties and one loss.
Day 6 - Palace Terriers report.
After struggling against their opponents in the 1st Leg, Palace Terriers found their mojo in this Cup Qualifying Round 2nd Leg match and ran away with the match to qualify for the next round with ease. Esneider Gil opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, but it took until the second half for the home side to really get going. Defender Dany Orfila struck a minute after the break, midfielder Tyberiy Yarich following before Gil completed his hat-trick with the last two goals. Terriers' win 5-0 and 7-2 on aggregate.
Attachment 67976
Palace Terriers came up against the League's super-heavyweight team in their away match this evening. Taking a leaf from their senior team's handbook, a 4-1-4-1 formation with hard defending, high press and offside kept the match goalless at the break. The home side then started their usual formation switching and during this period scored the first goal of the match. The Terriers Management decided to throw out the hard defending and went to 4-5-1V defensive with counter, low press and no offside, which almost immediately drew dividend with an equalising goal from defender Francesco Largou. Despite getting several chances from set pieces in the last ten minutes, Terriers could not get a vital final touch and the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

A cracking first week of the season has seen Foster score 21 times.
That puts him now on 800 club goals for me.
