For corners i choose the player with the best crossing ability (and he has to be good at passing also).

For free kicks i choose the player with best finishing and shooting (combined).

If you have a player with a SA, you can use him if you like. As far as i know, there haven't been any "evidence" that for example corner specialist, is exeptionel better than your best player for crossing.
