As they said, you must be friend with them so you can see their games.
1. Add them as friends on Facebook and then you will see all their games.
2. Click on their profile and you should see in the upper part a plus, click there and you will send them a friend invitation in-game only but remember, you can only do it if you are also sharing the same server, otherwise no chance.
