What in theory does this mean? Besides the obvious. Will my team think its won like its in real life where Barcelona plays against celtic and gives them a 8-0 or lose stupidly.

No. The game characterizes as a favorite the team that is more than 20% stronger than its opposition. Does not mean you are gonna win the game at any case.

Indeed. When a team's quality is more than 20% higher (which translates to 5 quality points), that team is considered the favourite.

I have beaten teams more than 10 points above me. The formation matters, the strategies matter, and the random number generator also matters.
