    only costs tokens and signing fee, you don't have to pay a fee to the player's former club. Example a similar player costs around 90% of his value and up, you bid for him and all the money goes to his club. Free agent doesn't have contracts with any clubs, pay him minimum fee and he signs contract.

    u don't pay the club
    but player may request some small money when signing
    but sure you need to pay tokens during the bidding as many are attracted to free players who cost almost 0$
