The Management put the new purchase in the team for the evening Cup Quarter-Final 2nd Leg, and he came up trumps immediately, bagging a first-half brace to put the Rats 2-0 up. The visitors came out after the break all guns blazing and within eight minutes had pulled a goal back, but two quick strikes from left-winger Unal Ozdemir knocked the stuffing out of their comeback and put the Rats out of reach. Emerson de Alencar Arraes added a goal late on as Desert Rats ended 5-1 winners, 6-1 on aggregate and progress to the Semi-Finals.
