Best Way to Not Concede Goals? :) *Bet With a Friend!*

So, my friend challenged me.

Finish the remaining 1/2 season while conceding less than 3 goals. If I make it, he owes me 8 15$ meals. If I lose, I owe him one. 1/8 odds. Last half I had fifty something goals scored, and 13 conceded. Currently my avg quality is 117.8%. I play with 4 defenders, 1 DMC, 2 MC, 2 AMs, and one striker. Attacking mentality, offside trap, non-Counter Attack. Anything you'd change?

My rivals this season know what they're doing. Some of them are around 105-110avg quality, and the table is as tight as a drum. 4 teams with the same number of points at the top, the difference between #1 to #6 is 3 points!

What would you do differently?

I was thinking of replacing the DMC with a 59tokens 116% DC with Defensive Wall ability from the special transfers window, and playing 5-4-1 on Defensive, Counter Attacks and non-OffsideTraps, while using both MAN-ON-MAN and High Pressing at all times. You think that's a better idea than the current strategy?

I play in a pretty easy league, for which my target will be no loss only wins.

Nevertheless I have already conceded 6 goals in first half of league.

Even in the easy going matches where I score many goals, I may concede one with a final score 6-1.

Your tactics are good but using both high pressing and m2m consumes much energy which will make you vulnerable at the last 15 minutes.
Also lack of dmc would make you vulnerable in counter attacks

So I would switch one of 4 Midfielders to DMC , especially when oppo has AMC
And I would choose one of HP or M2M

What if they always begin the matches at 80+ health? Would you then choose both HP and M2M?

No. Even with 100% health I see quite a big condition loss. I consider it a risk.
If it was one game I wpuld tell you go for it, but it is half of the season.

Also as you are gping to play defense i would choose m2m than hp, as there is no reason to press high with a low defense line.

Not sure about a few things.

1. Am i better off playing defensive with 5 Defs 4Mids 1ST or Attacking with 4Defs 5Mids (one of them DMC) and one ST? I notice when i go offensive, I get less attacks my way.

2. Do I put "arrow down" for all players to enhance defensive mentality?

3. What if I just go Hard Defending with 5Defs + 2 DMCs + 2 AMs + 1ST based on counter attacks?

4. What's the condition loss per M2M vs HP?

Well, you got some balls honestly because I wouldn't do such a bet. There are still 13 games left in the league . Thinking that you conceded 13 goals before, I think is quite possible receive around the same number. Possible if you play more defensive you increase the chance to concede less but I doubt only 3.

Isn't always about about the tactic, sometimes the game play after his rules, we all seen that before and yea isn't much you can do.

My advice, play offensive, for me attack is the best defense and try not to make to many faults this would clearly increase your opponent chances to score more against you so don't use hard tackling at all.
