Seriously Sausy, do tactics (what has been input as formation, orders and arrows, and what comes out as outcomes) have enough football sense in this game? For me, there is a lot of nonsense as output, and sometimes there is no output at all as if the game does not want to listen (if you see what I mean). In fact, the game has become very numb and there a lot of cosmetics, and the game goes according to where and what it wants, even if it is against football logic.
Concerning the question of this thread, I have no main preference for style of play or tactics as I feel that the style or tactics to be used are the ones that should at least be appropriate for the situation to be faced. I will even bench the top performer or what seem to be the star player of my team if I had to based on the situation to be faced as this is the tactical decision. So, what will influence what I will use is the situation to be faced.
Oh... and don't even speak of trying to mimic football styles of play or tactics as they in real life in Top Eleven because that is not possible. Someone cannot play like Pep's Barcelona, nor someone can play like Alex Ferguson's Manchester United nor someone can play like Ancelloti's AC Milan in this game. It is foolishness to believe you can. Sure you can put a 4-3-3/3-4-3, a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 or a 4-1-2-1-2/4-3-2-1 as formation and put the appropriate orders but that is all. What would go on the pitch and what would come out in terms of final results are far different from what is expected. Like I said above, there is not much sense.
