Hey everyone,
Do you have a play or tactical decision that has inspired your Top Eleven club?
They're the plays you never forget - the ones you can describe with vivid detail years after witnessing it for the first time. They're the plays that encourage you to try a new formation with your club or to train up strong players in the same positions.

Well as an AC Milan fan I have always loved the days of Ancelotti and his "Christmas Tree" formation. He also used different forms of 4 4 2. He had Pirlo and I had Svrcek, he had Kaka and I had Stevic.
In TE is kinda different as you have to go with what you have and works rather than what you desire.
Those Ancelotti Milan teams were truly magnificent. :)Quote:

Concerning the question of this thread, I have no main preference for style of play or tactics as I feel that the style or tactics to be used are the ones that should at least be appropriate for the situation to be faced. I will even bench the top performer or what seem to be the star player of my team if I had to based on the situation to be faced as this is the tactical decision. So, what will influence what I will use is the situation to be faced.
Oh... and don't even speak of trying to mimic football styles of play or tactics as they in real life in Top Eleven because that is not possible. Someone cannot play like Pep's Barcelona, nor someone can play like Alex Ferguson's Manchester United nor someone can play like Ancelloti's AC Milan in this game. It is foolishness to believe you can. Sure you can put a 4-3-3/3-4-3, a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 or a 4-1-2-1-2/4-3-2-1 as formation and put the appropriate orders but that is all. What would go on the pitch and what would come out in terms of final results are far different from what is expected. Like I said above, there is not much sense.

During some period, Kaka was indeed phenomenal. He had very good acceleration, passing and shooting. He even played well as as the first man in front (forward or striker). Those are among the nostalgic periods in football for me. Why? Because those were the periods that I was following football closely, I was supporting a team and so on. Also, I 'knew' a lot of football players in different leagues due to Championship Manager 01/02, the internet and also due to the matches and highlights I watched. I also had Fifa 2005 on the original Xbox, where AC Milan and Arsenal were the top teams in the game.Quote:

In this game, it is a rare formation, that is, it is rarely used. But I came across a few of those since I started playing this game. I have been thinking of using it for certain situations.
BTW, 4-5-1 Flat can beat 4-5-1(V) (or could if it no longer can these days).
you definately right 4 line of defence and 5 midfield make this formation strong both in defence and attack. I conceded less goal as my first line of defence is my 5 midfield.
