I 'm playing in 1 1/2 hour against an abandoned team with 32-34 y.o. players (but in their normal positions).
Which way is better to score over 10 goals ?
Playing hard attack or def/counters ?
Being present in the game or not ?
What was your biggest score lately (10 or more goals) ?

I would hard attack since your team is much better, long passes and lots of attacking midfielder and strikers. How did you do?

You've probably played your match by now, but I've had a couple of 10-0 wins this season against abandoned sides with normal setups. 4-5-1V, attacking,counter on, passing short and wide, tackling normal, marking zonal. Watched one match, but not the other.
It's all random anyway.........Isn't it?
My last 3 league matches are 9-0,6-0,7-0 after i switch from normal to defensive mentality as the previous 10 matches i was scoring 3-5 goals/match

some people who have read my posts about tactics, know that I usually play (and recommend) def/counters even vs weaker teams.
I started this way (and only watching the game from my reserves), later came in the game and switched to attack/ high pressing but couldn't score more than 6 goals.
For sure some algorithms changed before some months as we could won with supernatural scores like 14,15,16 -0 teams like that.
I don't know how it works now but 11-0 was the max I had lately.
Hard attacking (and high pressing, if required) using a counter formation (one that will exploit the weakness of the opponent but will provide safety or measures against it's attacks), but in this game, due to the lack of sense made by the game engine itself, it might calculate the orders 'best' for your team for that situation to be defensive and even hard defending, and hence hard defending might bring more goals than attacking. The game seems to award goals for selecting or using what the game has calculated as 'best' orders for a particular situation instead of what would be best orders based on logic for that situation.
Scores are less high these days despite facing very weak teams or abandoned team with players out of position. The game seem to be neglecting things or the game balances things.Quote:

Set def/counters flanks, the others normal.
I started watching from my reserves.
0-0 at first half :p, then enter the game and switched to attack/ high pressing and scored 6 goals.
My 2nd sub was a defender so oppo scored a goal.
Don't do that in a critical game hahaha

My last 10 goal outburst was the 1st day of all out attack challenge.
I went defense + counters + long balls that match. It was against 4th place in my league and he did attend the match. I'm guessing he took all-out attack literally, and left himself wide open to counters in the process. haha
yes, some times bot teams have better coaching than active managers - lol
@ nik: we defeated an abandoned team with 13-0.
Team was in formation 4-1-2-1-2 nd. We played 4-5v-1. Arrows up on the wingers.
Def / flanks / mixed pass / counters on. Low press / normal / zone / offside off. We played a homematch and had 13% possession bonus. Furthermore I always train bonuses (att / pos / def / cond) up to 10% with my reserves as well.
Had been a long time since I had a score like this.
