I made cup final

Well I made it to Cup final facing an opponent 3 levels higher and he's got this monster of a ST. I'm a token buyer but I got knocked out CL at quarters on away goals by lesser team, and I made it to the final of CUP vs all teams 3 levels higher. So those teams I face in CUP are non-token buyers.

If you don't buy tokens, your opponents are same quality. You buy tokens your opponents same or better quality. The only advantage of buying tokens is I can build a team to my liking, I can improve the quality faster and buy whatever player I want.

Congratz BTW.

Let's bring that CUP home!!! I'm so sick of being 2nd.

im planning to make it 3 cup wins in 5 leagues. the other guy isnt a token buyer than ****, it will come down to skill and players

if you want to read over my posting history, i survive on nordeus generated 34 year old players, all 7 of em coupled with some savvy ivestment using only default token deals

You know why it's messed up? I build my team higher quality than them, and everytime I face them, I see them buy a cheap 4,5* and the player looks monster to me. It's not a disadvantage that I'm facing higher level, but the fact is that they can upgrade players that I can't. The guy I just beat lost 1-0 1st leg, 2nd leg I see he bought 3 legends in my eyes, which is only his Scout....

You know why it's messed up? I build my team higher quality than them, and everytime I face them, I see them buy a cheap 4,5* and the player looks monster to me. It's not a disadvantage that I'm facing higher level, but the fact is that they can upgrade players that I can't. The guy I just beat lost 1-0 1st leg, 2nd leg I see he bought 3 legends in my eyes, which is only his Scout....

Since when is any cup game different from league or CL? they are all against better or equal teams, but you seem to meet higher level teams in the cup. You can have scouts in the cup and lose. You can have no scouts in the cup and win, but as you progress in the cup, if you dont have scouts, you are lucky to make it to the finals.

In the CL or league, you are guaranteed to meet opponents at your level, but there is nothing stopping them from loading up on scouts during the season or as the cup progresses and wiping you out in a flash.

I think almost every game can be won by management. I won 3 straight cup meetings vs higher level managers but ultimately lost because I got out managed by a higher level manager. Was it because his team was better? Was it because I chose the wrong formation to play vs his team? A combination of both? Who knows.

But to say the cup is all about skill and management is a only half correct. You forget to mention that the game engine and the level of your opponent are other important factors. The game engine ensures that improbable outcomes happen when you least expect it. Seriously...how can you have 80% possession playing an opponent with an illegal formation and NOT win??? Seriously??? How can an opponent play with strikers in defense, goalie as a striker and players all over the place out of position and still win???

All this to say that the cup is harder to win but lower level managers have to hope for a bit of luck to win. You still need to manage better than the other manager to win every game, cup, CL and league if you are a manager without scouts.

I know what you mean... happened to me twice in the cup. I was lucky against a lvl 8 player with 7*stars keeper and striker, but with poor MCs for example. Hope you will win double
