Should I keep this 119% player next season or sell it ?

I usually sell players at age of 21 -22 but since I joined this forum and saw many awesome screenshots about managers keeping old players with hundreds of matches and goals ... something changed in my mind ... of course not every player is a legend ... so I will try to summarize my observations and request your advice about if I should keep this player and give him more chances or no ...

This guys did an awesome job the first two seasons ( age 18-19) by scoring almost 1 goal every two matches and doing many assists ...
His marks were almost 7/8/9/10 over 10...
At age of 20 , i noticed that his scoring rate / sense slowed down / decreased and this season ( age 21 ) I kept him on the benches almost all the games since he betrayed me last season

His stats are shown below ...

    My questions :

Do all legends pass through low scoring seasons/periods ?
Should I give him more chances as a starters or as a substitute or sell him ? thanks Attachment 87628Attachment 87638

I'd keep him. My legend started slowly at 19 but I persevered and now he is regularly power trained and usually scores 30+ League goals a season. I fed him 200 Greens just this morning in fact ready for next season.

are you saying indirectly that players must be power trained to 8 / 9 stars with hundreds of rests otherwise they WON'T be legendary scorers ?

Sergey orlov is no legend. But I would keep him if players around him are in good form. I.e striker. If your striker is 1goal/1game ratio, changing sergey orlov replace with eden hazard might jeopardise your striker goals.

Try him for a few matches.
    Does he score freekicks regularly?
If yes, would be worth having him just for that.
Else, you can try keeping him for a few seasons as a rotation player and then sell.

PS: I was following exactly what you do....buy 18 year olds...sell them at 21-23.
On seeing the success of many "older" players, I have changed this and have a good squad of players now.
Majority of my team is above 23 now and they perform pretty well.

No, not at all. With this player I recognised when he was a 6* scout that he was something special so I decided to power train him. I have had previous legends who were not power trained but got MOM most games and won important games for me. Personally I would never get rid of a 119% player from my squad. If he was a fast trainer or was doing the business on the pitch I'd feed him to keep him at scout quality.
