This season my experiment is to start with the same 11 players from day 1 and try to win the treble without changing any player from first 11 during the season.
So far ,after half of the games (25) things are going well,24 wins and 1 draw (2nd game of the season)

Yes that's right, I'm observing this too, in the old days I was changing my squad if I find a better player and train him, for the last 3 seasons I have only put 3 new players and I'm going well too, there needs to be a hidden team chemistry.

I have 3 teams ~80%,one team ~60% and rest of them between 32%-50%,usually i have only 1 team around 80%-90% and the rest under 50% and it's a bit risky lol but this season those 4 teams almost same quality are losing points between them making an easier league for me πQuote:

Here's my Squad since day 1. My A team. My team that plays all the big matches. I take pride in the time and devotion it's taking to build my team. Just waiting on a ST recommendation for 79 tokens (will wait till next season or use rests to train)

My A team had two red cards, so I had to play with subs. Rest of the games I always start with A team.

Don't get me wrong, I just asked it to learn how it actually works. Of course you don't need loads of players at same Q also that's why you can manipulate. Why not? You should be proud of it whether your team is trollproof or not or you're a good manager or lucky, what you achieve is simply special which lots of player can't achieve easily there's no need to being humble.Quote:

I've never had a season where I changed more than 2-3 players in starting 11, and almost always 4411. You know some my players play every match of their career in the same position. I have a few over 500 matches still, ML, DCs, AMCs... my DR from season 1 player 595 matches before retiring, only missing a few red card matches...

End of the season and 1 player missed 2 games (in one game he went out early do to an injury and in another game he was out due to red card)
8 players missed from 1 match each as i protected them from getting another yellow card 2nd cup/champions league semi-final
2 players played all 50 games.
So if you don't expect to get the "top11 manager award" (but to win trophies lol)after you'll end playing this game,you don't need to have 18-28 players the same quality,or to have many players on the bench and to rotate them just for the sake of "feeling " more manager than others :D

I don't suppose you kept a count on the amount of rest packs you spent to keep the squad match fit for every game throughout the season?
I always play with 11+1 players in my main squad. I didn't know this is an achievement =] It is actually the most efficient way to play IMHO.
Less than 10 rest packs and 10T-14T to change some of the home games time.Quote:

I closed down my squad this season as well
What I found the most difficult was that the semi finals of cup and chl, 4-6 players average were one yellow card away from losing the final.
At that point it was really challenging not to miss a vital player.
The good part is that I saw my players ending with some % more at the end of the season.
I think as market got really hard, small squad with multiposition players is the way forward
