I am out of the cup, saw red after 12 minutes and lost 4-1. That is very sad after the 2-0 away win against the 8 quality points higher opponent.

I dunno, I PT 4 other guys and 200 greens got me about 165 SP for all 7..

Not long to go for the cup match. We are tied 2-2 on aggregate from the first leg and we are at home now.

I really hate getting opponents from two levels above in the preliminaries of the cup...
2nd time I get knocked out by an abandoned team simply because of the difference in level...

Level 4.

I chose a very defensive tactic 3W-2N-3W-1-1 vs. his 4-4-1-1, which should be ok. But my mistake was the mentality, I chose normal instead of defensive like in the 1st leg (rest remained the same: long balls, force counters, normal tackling). So he came threw too easily and scored after some minutes. And before I adjusted the tactics he came threw another time and my LB saw red after he fouled him in the box (0-2 penalty, 12th). Finally I then adjusted to defensive mentality, subbed in a LB for the ML, and moved my DC/DMC to DC, so new tactics 4-DMC-MC-MC-MR-AMC-ST. Before the half-time whistle my AMC (not well covered) made the 1-2, which would have been the next round. But in the second half he brought fresh player, made the 3-1, controlled the match with a 4-1-4-1 (seems to be his favorite system) and could even use a counter to win 4-1.



That is dissapointing after the 2-0 away win, but I learnt the hard way that defensive mentality is vital against much stronger teams.

Perfect Tactics win 5-2 on aggregate.

We wanted to win the game here and we did quite comfortably. We missed a couple of chances at the start. Suarez, Petersen and Eastgate all getting a shot on goal but none of them were on target. It was late in the first half when we went 1-0 up. Suarez passed the ball for Lamb who scored with a nice controlled finish. Vittalone made it 2-0 in the 2nd half from a Petersen corner before Architect made it 3-0 from yet another Petersen corner. The away team didn't get into the game and the men in black and yellow go marching on!

A more commendable performance got me a 1-1 draw away to curroaleman, but the first leg hammering has eliminated me from the cup early. There was a glimer of hope when he made his left flank completely exposed (though I think he was taking the mick myself) and we put a huge amount of pressure on him.

Unfortunately, my lone striker was overawed by his defence and struggled to get a sight of goal. Our goal came from a penalty after a deliberate handball by the opponents AMC.

Really need some new blood soon though.
