So my goalie is 18 and a fast trainer, got him too elite fairly easily. Problem is he is really inconsistent,7-6-7-9-6 is his recent typical form. Will he ever get better?

It is very possible. Keep him, give the boy a chance =] His ratings are totally fine btw.
I’m also a noob but how do I know who’s fast trainer? Academy player with 10 tokens are worth keeping? And if he can play only one position like DL or DR? No academy player comes with SA from what I see.
Tks for the quick reply. Btw He is world class not elite. Another question. My best defender is only overall 111 but his defensive quality is 156 and my team quality is 119. He is 23 next season. Should I keep him? Train him ( he is slow to train, wasnt last year tho) or get a 19 year old next year?

The very fastest trainers (at least for those under 80%) get 1 point sa or position constantly for 3*fast counter attack (~11,25%).
I didnt train as many academy players, but never got this first class fast trainers so far, always a little bit worse, more like 1 point each 15%.
So if I want to see if its this first class, I do 2 times 6*fast counter attack, should bring 4 points (again, over 80% is a bit less, at least I didnt have those)
Thanks nik and kto. I currently have a 79% academy DR and if I keep him, he’ll be only left with 59% next season. I think I’ll train him to be aerial def, additional DC slot and a 6 star at end season? Is it still worth it?
