Can you see a squad when making an offer for a player

I read somewhere someone suggesting that to know if you have a chance of having your bid accepted you should look at his squad to see if that player is on the bench or an important player. Unless this guy is in a competition with me, I don't see how i can do that. Is there a way?

Yeah if you click on the person bidding, you can see his squad.

once you click make offer. you will see the manage appear at the bottom right of the negotiation screen. click on him and you can then go to see his squad
