GKs injured twice in 32 seasons and never received a card, neither yellow, nor red.
As a rule I don't have a spare.
Rarely, I recall 1 or maybe 2 times.
I use the 2nd goal keeper if I want to tank the league and win the cup, in order to keep my regulars fresh.
If I remember good yes but anyway the chances for this to happen are really small so is up to you..
GK injury twice in 33 seasons. I always buy a reserve for substitution when my main GK's rate go down during a match below 6/10
Twice in 53 seasons. Never a card either. I usually upgrade my GK every 2-3 seasons but keep the old one as spare.
maybe once every 7-8 seasons.
Not worthy to keep a sub only for that reason
but might happens in one of your finals - you never know :p
Yes it happens me, once every 2-3 seasons
It has happened only once to me and once I remember to a rival in a match. As far as cards I don't really remember.
I think it is worth having 1 reserve GK for these reasons:
1.Peace of Mind during matches:)
2. Team rotation, you can save 1 or 2 packs by playing your reserve GK in easy matches especially when you are playing in all competitions 2 matches a day almost every day. GK really doesn't have the biggest impact on the match.
3. Recommended players may always be GK if you have only one in the team.
4. He can entertain your players in the bench or dressing room during half time :p
Never bother with a second keeper. I actually won a game 2-1 once when my keeper got injured after about 10 minutes and I never bothered substituting him to see what would happen, so played 80 mins with no keeper.
Go figure...
tl;dr: YEP
Yes, several times. I always carry a spare GK. The pre-live action trick of not subbing an injured keeper doesn't work any more...
It's happened many times to me......maybe like 30 times, but i am in my 70 th season or something like that. I always have a reserve gk, but mainly to substitute the starter if he performs bad during live games
I have never had my GK injured or red carded in about 25 seasons.
Perhaps some people are more lucky than others?
