Playing players out of position

I am just wondering if its a good idea to play a player out of position.

I was thinking of sticking to my usual formation but playing a reserve ML at AML rather than changing my whole formation.

I have no funds to buy a replacement AML for a couple of games.

Advice would be grateful.

I think if you do it for a couple of games you're gonna be alright, but don't make it a habit.
