Why are there so few players available to buy in transfer market this season?

I and some other game players have noticed that the transfer market has such a limited amount of players for sale can anybody explain this? My own conclusion would be that maybe other managers are not selling to make players available but if that is the case I would have thought that TE would have generated some players to cover this and I do not remember this happening last season. So I await your thoughts so that I can pass them on to my concerned other game players.
