age has no influence (at least we think so, only Nordeus knows for sure)
But you should maintain an balanced squad, or u will get into trouble when suddenly a lot of your players retire
18-20y/o players do. I have a DC/DL since season 1 and he is in my Top11 now (now = season3, his Q is 31)
If you have a team with scouts only you might be right though^^
My oldest player in my starting 11 is 27. I think it's very good
Ive a player much the same but hes now, at 22 starting to slow right down and i doubt hell be in my squad next season, thats pretty poor for a player turning 23. He was my best player in season 1, when he was 18. Its hard to get the 5 points to get a player to his next star through natural training
Just sell any player before they hit 32 since they will start to retire at that age.
I normally adopt the Arsenal policy on players to regards that are over 30 years on this game, players that are over 30 are sold.
Personally, I try to be harsh and say that if a player is down the pecking order and getting on, they will be sold regardless of age if I can find a suitable replacement (hence why I will look for a DL replacement for my 27yo). My avaerage age is about 21.5 in my squad and might go lower depending on the youth players I get tomorrow.
If your replace them anyways, why not buy older players in the first place? if you buy a 30y/o he will be in your team for 2years too. And you get quite a better 30y/o than a 18-20y/o.
