What about your GK ratings?
For the thirds season in a row my GKs keep on playing very bad.
This season, being the list scout very crapy, I bought a MC and a GK (even if i still think 50tks are too much for a gk)
and once again he performs very bad:

What about your experience?
My defense is quite good, is it "normal" that a gk always takes so low ratings?
if the other team your playing against are not shooting then your GK has nothing do so won`t get the rating you`d expect,
my GK if having a quite game goes and sit`s in stands with the fans :)
my GK's performance is pretty decent he makes a nice save every now and then.. the GK form doesn't really matter as long as you don't concede too many goals, if you do there's a problem I guess..

The name says it all! just kidding.
This is my scout goalie I bought early in season 2. I think he was 34 quality or 30, something like that. He is a medium trainer but still the best player on my team at Quality 40. I just checked my scout list and the best player on it is Quality 43. So he looks like he is on par to being a good catch.
That being said. He is good in that I dont see him get 4's or 5's for his form. My backup gk is 28 Quality so I only use him in cup competitions and where games are back to back.
I have always had a good GK and for that I feel lucky because I hear horror stories just like yours.
I read a post yesterday(?) where the person said dont worry to much about the form of the GK. I dont know why. With the apparently lack of sophistication in certain programming areas (Injured GK keeps making saves), I sometimes find it hard to believe that they have the programming knowledge to drill down to such specifics, with the skill points and form, and make it so that they actually have an effect on the game.
Nordeus should hire me so I can get their **** in order.
Anyways, others will tell you to sell the GK and buy a new one. I say try new formations and tactics and players in front of the GK before you blame the GK. (I am a goalie in ice-hockey back in Canada, so I know it is not always the GK fault.):cool:

Your rating seems very low. A good unoccupied goalie usually at least gets mostly 6s. It's very hard to get better ratings against worse teams and the only times my goalie has gotten Man of the match for example are against really good teams above my quality. It only seems to be based on saves. Many saves equals higher rating.

As long he don't have anything to save he can't get a good rating.

consider they have just 10-12 sentences which are used in all the mathes... how can they give a rate to 22 players?
yesterday my 6*43 ST with 1on1 SA has been stopped three (3!) times by the opposite 2*DC.
moreover, he didn't score a single goal against a -17 quality team but he got a 8

Whenever my goalie scored a 5 every shoot from distance went in. Might not count facing weaker teams but against on par ones gets annoying. Almost went out the cup for taking 4 goals from 30 mts.
Same problem here. Lost the Cup Final and First place in the league, I believe because my keeper's last ratings were: 4-5-5-4-5-3-5-4 and he has not saved a single shot the last three important to me games vs strong opponents. He simply ruined my season by himself in the end. And those bad ratings started about ten days ago. I don't know why. He always plays with high moral and condition, I even renewed his contract and benched him a couple of games. Also tried different formations. None worked. I should have sold him a long time ago. Just had a hope he would improve cause he is of high quality, 5 star, 22 y.o., with one on one S.A. And my reserve keeper is also bad, so I hoped the starting one will imrove. But it's a good lesson for me. Next time I will know for sure. Sell or bench him the whole season and play him vs only weak opponent, when he will not have anything to save. Let's see how he performs in the first game of the season and then I'll decide his future.Quote:
