Poor performers

Are some players programmed to perform badly no matter what?

I ask because I bought a striker at the start of the season. He's a 4 star player at my level, 20 years old. I always have him at 80% or higher condition, very good or superb moral and my team is second on the league as I win most of my games and yet he always performs badly. In 14 matches he's scored just 2 goals and has 1 assist and gets ratings of 5 or 6.

Any explanations?

Sit him out for a bit, try again after a few games. If he's still not performing, cash in!

He should be good at my level. I might have to cash in soon I think.

sell him in first day of next season , and try to get a better ST

My DC/DMC is much better then your ST

You should sell him or keep him as a sub. This kind of performance/ratings are quite familiar

If he doesn't perform well, put a mask on him like they did for Torres Seems to be working fine for him. Seriously, if he is not performing as he should, then indeed selling him would be the best choice!
