Do you keep many clean sheets with that? :)
I can see many people have different opinions on usage of arrows so maybe they just affect between attack and defence. I have a match shortly so I'll post the result and what I did :)
Weirdos playing a 3W-3W-2N-2
(dl, cb, rb, dml, dmc, dmr, cm, cm, cf, cf)
I managed to win away 0-4
I had 62 possession, 10 shots on target, same as opponent. Shot efficiency of 40% which is quite good, I think.
Not a bad game considering I was inviting them to close into my own half so I could get space. I think they have an effect on who goes in for an attack. My right winger got the first goal on his own, my left winger got a goal from my forwards assist, my lb scored from my playmakers assist and my striker scored from my right wingers assist.
I only put red arrows on my wingers and forward and all had an impact on the game. My 2 CB's had blue arrows and although the shot ratio was high, none came from anything and they didn't get past my defence.
I hope I have helped as you've all helped me. :)
I always use red arrows on my wingers and DL/DR's. Blue arrow on my DMC. I play a 4-5-1V mainly.
If I'm losing or drawing a game I usually go hard attacking with everyone on red arrows at about 80mins.
I think I conceded a lot with red arrows on full backs when I was closing down in own half. It could all be just a coincidence though. :)
I suppose it also depends what formation you are facing!
Don't play with arrows on defenders unless you are better. Doing it against equal opponent is just asking for trouble
