Playmaker on a Striker???

I was playing a few friendlies the other day and I forgot to post about this one.

I was rotating players around to reduce condition to optimum levels by playing a few different formations and playing players OOP. I have Ronnie O'Sullivan who is a 6*109 MR/AMR playmaker and put him on as a striker in the second half of a friendly match vs an abandoned L11 team which still was on my friends list and in the space of 10 mins, he made 2 goals and 2 assists. So it made me think that could the playmaker SA work well for a ST.

None. I was rotating my squad around using the players with the most condition first for the friendlies.

I'm not a fan of playmaker, I've owned 5 in the last 2 seasons and they're pretty much all useless. Mostly MC but my non-playmaker scored more goals in that season. Not sure if it would work in the same way for a striker though

July Fourth do you can help me? How best to fix it? because this season is going poorly I'm 2nd in the league and the Champions League is going a bit better but that's not it.

Well theoreticly the playmaker isn't supposed to score goals.. Just get the ball past the opponent's defence with long intelligent balls. Which means or assists or him being the person who does the "Long ball ahead for... " thing

Some thoughts:

You are playing a flank attack with no wide midfielders. Consider playing through the middle

Whole pitch pressing + lots of arrows = massive stamina drain. Consider pressing in your half only

Attacking + forced counter attack = confused strategy. Consider dropping forced counters

Man to man marking works best if the opponent is in roughly the same formation, or your players will be pulled out of position. Consider zonal
