Player in the wrong position? How does it affect the player?

I was just wondering how much it really affect a player if he is in the wrong position.
I have a DM player who also can play CD, but i need to change the formation and put him in a CM position
to make my team work for the next game.

So how much does it really matter? Its a high quality player in a low quality league (Lv.1)

I personally wouldn't play a player out of position but I had a game in a cup against a scouter and my opponent played a 4-4-1-1 with attacking mid centre left mid and striker right side forward so I think he put a red arrow on his attacking mid who's position was only ST.

You could play him DMC and put a red arrow on so he supports centre mids.

Yea i guess I can do that. I just feel like its awkward with the arrows.
Cramped somehow, you cant really edit the lineup as you really want it =)

Something in line of 4-5-1 with focus on attacking down the flanks.
Since the opponent has many players cramped in the middle (low league, nobody cares that much :P)

No, just CD and Cassettes haha
