I have spotted a dangerous rival for this season but we 'll see.
Desert Rats FC were finally able to play up to their usual high level without hindrance from the match engine and recorded two very good wins.
The early morning opening League match was a fairly easy affair, new utility attacking midfielder Thomas Arvehed got his full debut and took only 7 minutes to make an impact, scoring from distance. Striker Luis Moules continued his good early season form with the second goal and just before the break, current top scorer Oliver Schenkel opened his account for the season with a long-range shot of his own. Schenkel added a second goal on 56 minutes with a more conventional run and round the keeper, and the final goal came when Arvehad ran out of options with Moules and Schenkel both double marked, but saw the rapidly arriving defender John van Hintum, and provided him with a nice pass to run onto and score.
The lunchtime Champions League match was more difficult, the visiting team set themselves out well and defended stoutly, but their counter play was just as robustly repelled by the Rats defence. Luis Moules was involved in a crazy three minutes just after the half-hour, making a tit-for-tat foul and receiving a caution for his trouble, then supplying a pass for John van Hintum to convert for the first goal. Moules was replaced by fellow striker Jiri Hrubsa just before the hour mark, and slowly the home attack wore down their opponents' defence. Thomas Arvehed had another long range shot find the back of the net on 66 minutes and that seemed to kill the resistance. Hrubsa netted a couple of goals and threatened more but the keeper covered for his increasingly ragged defence with a couple of fine saves.

Nouvion FC had an amazing start to their League season, but struggled to overcome a poorer side in the opening round of Champions League matches.
With a couple of new faces on the bench awaiting their chance to shine, the Nouvion old-guard took the field expecting a tough examination of their credentials in their 5th League Season. After right-winger Gary Sampson's 10th minute opening goal, however, the home side fell apart and Nouvion had a field day. Striker Jelle Popelier and midfielder Chris Mann made the score 3-0 by half time, Gary Sampson scored the second to his brace 5 minutes into the second period, quickly followed by the first of a double from free kick specialist Ibrahim Kodjia. Left-winger David Dorizon made his contribution and then the Management felt safe enough to do a double substitution and introduce left-back Louis Nwodu, recruited from the normal Transfer Market, and trained up Youth Graduate striker Yala Johnson into the action. The latter was the more productive, netting twice, either side of another free-kick conversion from Kodjia as Nouvion racked up a 9-0 scoreline.
With a 32% Quality difference the Management felt that the evening Champions League match should be fairly routine, but got a little reminder that life is not quite as straightforward under the Nordeus sky. 1st choice Goalkeeper Michael Hunter was given the evening off in favour of the previously ever-present Ben Brown and with the new recruits starting for the first time, Nouvion started promisingly, but quickly received their first caution of the season, midfielder Chris Mann being the recipient. It took until a half-hour into the match before the scoreboard was troubled, right-winger Gary Sampson receiving the ball and weaving through the defence before beating the home keeper. Three minutes before the break, Sampson was injured and had to go off, Ibrahim Kodjia converting the resulting free-kick. Sampson's replacement at half time was Junta Kato, and at the same time Mann was replaced by Michael Owens. 2-0 up and coping well, everything seemed to be alright until the home side got a goal back, totally against the run of play. From then on the Nouvion defence had to be on top form as the hosts' attack suddenly woke up and decided to put in a shift, but they held on and the winning run continues.

Nevermind, i think you guys know what i mean. Ok, no mood to type much. Hope you guys are doing good :)

After 4 years and a lot of inactive seasons, I'm retiring from the job. Just not as fun anymore. And it's exam season. Don't even see myself coming back to the game even after exams, unless there's a drastic change. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b9bb74c278.jpg

Bottom of the table with only 1 point from 3 matches, strongest side in the league. Enough said, I'll pause this season and will do so forever, if game calculations doesn't change. :)
Edit: I will be one of those sides sitting with 4-5 star team in the worst league of the level and still gaining promotion because of playings vs inactive players. I will not buy tokens or even farm rests, because I don't need to. If thats what Nordeus wanted to achieve, they got me. ;)
Desert Rats FC struggled to overcome their -24%Q opponent in their League match yesterday, wingers Thomas Arvehed and Oliver Schenkel scoring one each in a three minute period just before the hour mark, but the hosts got one back and made the last 19 minutes of play very uncomfortable for the Rats Management. The struggles continued against a -7%Q team in the 1st Leg of the Round of 32 in the Cup, Desert Rats going down 0-1 to a 52nd minute goal by the home side.
Attachment 122315
Today the matches were a little easier on the heart, a -19%Q team dispatched 4-0 with goals from the wingers again, the third goal in a purple patch for central defender John van Hintum and a final goal from striker Luis Moules. The striker also managed a brace in another away trip, this time in the Champions League against a team with +1%Q over the Rats, who ran out 2-0 victors to keep themselves at the top of the Group.

Nouvion FC had two tough matches yesterday, the first an away League match against a -13% team, and their cause wasn't helped by their second winger injury of the season, this time to left-winger David Dorizon. Left-wingback Celio Pita was the face-saver with a 58th minute strike that gave Nouvion all three points. In the 1st leg of the Round of 32 in the Cup, -11%Q was the order of the day for the home side, and Nouvion got off to a flyer with goal in the 9th minute from striker Yala Johnson. A straight red card for defender Louis Nwodu put a spanner in the works for the visitors and caused a bit of a reshuffle in the side after the hosts equalised from the resulting free-kick. Despite a good period of pressure early in the second half, Nouvion failed to find the net again in the match and take a 1-1 draw and an away goal into the 2nd Leg.

Today the order of service was a home Champions League match and away in the League, and a couple of good results achieved. A good 29%Q separated the sides in the first match, Nouvion capitalising on their Quality advantage to boss the opposition off the park. It was a pity all the first half effort failed to advance the scoreline, but that was rectified early in the second half when relief left-winger Thomas Lukastik provided a subtle pass for striker Yala Johnson to slot into the net for the first goal. Lukastik got himself on the scoresheet after a good run and cross from opposite number Gary Sampson, and the defensive resistance of the visitors was finally ended with a penalty by Federico Benitez. The Quality difference was smaller in the evening match, and after a period of intense pressure by Nouvion for the first 15 or so minutes, an entertaining end-to-end contest followed. Four minutes into the second period a freshly-healed David Dorizon opened the scoring, and he had a hand in the second goal, providing a pin-point accurate corner for Celio Pita to nod into the net.

Anyone else noticed the Auctions seem to have a lot less good/decent 18-19 yo players cycling through ? A couple of seasons ago you would get 2 or 3 good 18-19yo every 4 minutes , now its 1 if your lucky. I sat watching the auctions last night looking for 1 specific positional player , in three hours I never saw a player even close to what I wanted.
More Nordeus tactics to get us all to spend money or at least greens by the bucketload to get the players that are on offer up to acceptable levels ? Probably.
I might try something different next season and just leave my players at the -20% starting point and just train them through the season and bank all my greens and tokens. Then instead of trying to get overpriced ,under developed 18 yo I might just replace players with cheap older players each season and just take my chances on the wheel of mediocrity , might even just make sure I finish top 8 and concentrate on Asso coin. Sounds like a good plan eh Nordeus ,another player turning to the dark side through necessity.
Yet another wasted 4 minutes , just look at this crap auction , no 18 or 19 yo at all.Attachment 122351
Yep, ditto. Facing the same problems. I was forced to buy slower trainers or lower quality players to stay within budget. Maybe it wasnt a good plan since i just got eliminated from the cup. Its been at least 10 seasons since i got eliminated at the round of 32. Anyway i dont think you should go for older players as we also need the profits from selling our younger players to meet our stadium building demands. Probably can milk your current lineup for a longer stretch to mitigate. Till 23-24 perhaps?
My top scorer not scoring.
4 league matches - big duck egg, zilch
😣
I have set my team up so at worst I need to replace 3 players at the start of any season , mostly only 2. Trouble is trying to get that 18 yo in the position you need at the level you need for easy transition into the team. Then when a player comes along you just about have to mortgage your house to get him , especially if he is AM or ST.
Back to the game and the CUP seems to be very intense this season, second time so far I overturned a bad result.
Over to you Nik ðŸ˜
You have a solution for this?
Regarding the TOP scorer not scoring this season. I am facing a similar issue. Not only is he not scoring, he isn’t getting a rating above 8. Mostly 7. He isn’t my Fk taker but he used to score a lot without having to take fk previously.
Ok thanks Nik
Will try that
Are there some kind of bugs in the forum as well?
This is the 2nd time you quoted my post twice and answer twice 🤣
yes, the forum has few bugs too
- sometimes gives a double post
- if you upload pics, maybe few hours later there are only not available attachments
- some threads are auto-moderated for no reason
- and in the Greek forum sometimes you 're writing some letters capital but the post shows them small (aml-amc) :p
For those top scorers not scoring, are your greys 1 percent? i only have 1 skill thats 1 percent. the rest are above 10. anyone knows what's a safe level for greys to prevent our players from performing badly?
Seems like having multiple positions kind of makes sense now
Reached Platinum last season with my 3* teams so time to restart from Bronze 3 :D
Attachment 122399
But.. Still after 3 weeks.. The same ****ing problem.. It does not seem to me a huge problem to solve!!! Come on!!!!!!
Attachment 122397
@Javert89 nicely done!! you reached platinum using 3 star teams all the way? are your opponents in gold 1 mostly inactive? its really difficult to maintain a 3 star team though. they improve so fast and its hard to win cup, cl and league with 3 stars right?
When you are left with no player with a contract, unknown players 32-34 years old are added to your team
So you can keep a 3* team all the season all the seasons without issues (they don't grow much with training :D)
From my Experience, from Bronze 3 to Gold 3 is very easy to Win tournaments also with 3*, in Gold 2 is also easy albeit a bit less, in Gold 1 real competition starts, Platinum I do not even try because it's very very hard with 3*
Guys, just train finishing and speed to your strikers. This is my league Top Scorers so far. As you can see they all trained finishing and speed. That is what I am going to do with my attackers, this season to 200% next season more (have to wait until gray attributes fall down for 20%).https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1ac6aeef90.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b59f369e61.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...fe99831e6c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...80c7f88b45.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...624a89796c.jpg
