I feel as if players that achieve a great stat like Top Assist, Top Rated, Top Scorer should receive a badge for that season just as managers receive a badge if they achieve success the season before. This can also factor in to negotiations at the end of the season as it validates the asking price of the owning manager as one can clearly see their performance of the recent season.
