42T for an MR.
Again, not unusual. ML/AML and MR/AMR tend to be the stand out players in a team and are usually more prolific than ST. Nowadays, 40 odd tokens is nothing to some players, maybe like 10 tokens value 5 years ago. Managers with 5+ years in the game can have 1k and more tokens. I would usually expect to pay over 50T for an 18yo attacking player. Maybe not in week 3 but then I’m not tanking (and never will).
Indeed, some have lots of tokens and also lots of green packs. This is bad for those making comebacks after long period of absences and also bad for relatively new users. I paid some high prices for some auctioned players too, but at this price, better go for the 19 y.o weekly recommended player or even some of the young, medium-fast trainers but cheaper daily recommended ones than bidding 50-100T for single-positioned 5-star players with no special ability and that still have the risk of being a slow or medium trainer or turn out to be flops.
Currently, profiles of association teams cannot be viewed due to some issue, but if you click on those accounts bidding on players in the same auction list as yours, you will see that their profiles cannot be viewed either. Could it be that Nordeus made auctions even worst by making teams of different servers to have the same auction list?
Ah, and despite in the 4th week of the season, some bidding wars still around.

It is day one of the new season and people are going crazy for players look at this, someone is paying 38+ tokens for a 21 year old 98% amr, some players are stupid, why waste 40 ish tokens on that player when you can buy a better one on the scout markethttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8b3d37a082.jpg

How stupid some are ;)
People make fun of me but this is why i do negotioations. You buy people's mutant players for like 15 tokens lol. I got an AML who debut scored 5 goals, age 24.

Some people are happy to bid 40+ tokens and nowadays you come to expect this especially in the first few days of a new season. Since the auctions changed and now you do not lose your tokens for failed bids, people will happily bid and even get into bid wars because they don’t want to lose.
Of course, some players have thousands of tokens or are token buyers so to them, 50 tokens is like 20 tokens to someone else.
Also, some Managers don’t trust Scout players, even the 69T ones. They tend to not be the fastest trainers, and in my view not as prolific as either a youth academy product or an 18yo bought in auctions when you strike lucky. Personally, I have found that Scout players make decent defenders and GK because those positions are not so important to me. I rely on youth products and recommended players for attacking players especially as the wingers tend to be the main goal scoring force in many teams.
It is personal choice. Each to their own I say. I certainly wouldn’t say people are stupid for splurging 40T. I understand the reasons.
@dave1311
The only position I would buy the scout for my team would be Goalkeeper , no matter what I have at my disposal because i see a big improvement in goalkeepers once they get that redish star.
Does anyone notice that let’s say 20% teams that have basically no hope in the league all of a sudden get a 20-25% boost and their team average quality rating goes up to 40-45%, I have seen this happen to almost every team that has an average quality of below 25%, These team’s quality always goes up by 20% by the end of the season. But the weird thing is, these teams never show up to games. So do Nordeus randomly give their teams a boost by giving them some better quality players.

I have noticed that this season (124), there were significantly less bidding wars and high bids compared to the last two seasons, even for players in the high 5-star area (close to six stars). There have been like a drop of about 50-70% in the average price. For example, players that would have costed 35-60T or more in the last season went for 15-25T this season. The bids were more reasonable as compared to those highly inflated, crazy bids from last season.
Tactitian i agree with you i got a AMC/ST 19yo FT 96% at 21 tokens and i already had rejected one at 30 tokens previusly that would be a player most of the users would kill for
On Day 1 of season 125.

I waiting until the start of next week to build my team up for this season, I will have a ton of tokens by then,
Anyway the first thing iI do when I log in on the first day of the season is, see who my opponents are and what their quality is?

Sad that the current situation with transfer market has not changed. For me it's painful to overcome all this. I have got no such patience to wait and wait till the opportunities arise and than bumt you go to the bidding war where you wouldn't want to participate ... Sometimes when you are in despair you go for the scout but meh... better no.
Powertrain with greens again is a horrific thing where you need to repeat same movement x times and stay for almost an hour to get something but not very much.
I dont know how you deal with all this but i sometimes want to repeat same level in order to not participate in next season bidding wars.
I believe the market is pretty horrendeus for a free loader.
I still managed to somehow spend around 33T in the 3 seasons i ve been playing this game, but tbh my secret succes have been the rests.
Without them i don t think i could have afforded the players i have now.
So basically i ve been spending less than i get from my sponsor, which is a great thing and i hope it will help me manage my resources in the long run.
I will keep having hundreds of rests each season, but i won t spend 20+T on a player unless i know for sure he will be in my team for 3+ seasons.
I get what you mean. While I started last season watching daily videos on my early morning commute, I ended last season watching the videos late in the night. It is back to morning for me as I will just sacrifice a day's worth of greens to not let the game affect my lifestyle.
Alot of greens are lost because of this 24 hour restriction
