I have saved enough for my first scout from the scout list.
I am looking at an AML aged 24 with shadow striker ability. Usually I'd prefer my wingers to be versatile (LM, AML or DML)
I was wondering is it worth it? What's your experiences with shadow strikers?
Probably one of the most useful out of all the midfield special abilities (the rest are crap)... As for usefulness, they are pretty useful... I've had shadow strikers score against me in the past so I'd go for it.
I currently have an MC/AMC player with Shadow striker ability, I'll let you know how that goes.
The player will score from long range strikes more often.. But less effective if the opponent has a defensive wall player, which of course makes sense.

Natural shadow strikers are rare, especially on the scout list... Although if his quality is low for a scout, it won't be worth it as he's 24 years old alreadyQuote:

I had a 9* AMC with shadow striker and played nearly every game of the last 2 seasons. Only scored 12 in the 1st season and 17 in the second season. With a 9* quality surely there should be 30+ goals a season?
Haven't played Top Eleven for long, but I personally found shadow striker is very useful. My brother and I have bought 4 SS AMC so far and they played very well with very good ratings (usually 8, sometimes 9). They scored even more goals than a striker.
Performances of 8 and 9 is good!

The only abilities I've found useful are corner specialist and free kick specialist.
I would agree with free Kick and would add defensive wall and aerial defender have been helpful!
Indeed....corner specialist gets the ball more often exactly on the head of your striker. Also the free kick specialist will score more goals when the opponent did set up a wall!Quote:

i had 2 shadow strikers, they were not great for the starting formation, but when i needed them for a substitute they gave me the winning goal a few times.
I'm thinking of strengthening my defence with a 6 star 22 year old defensive wall DC/DR. I've conceded 5 goals in 2 matches, losing 1 of them. Not happy haha.
shadow strikers are awesome, had one before , he was on fire .
now am training my fast training 18 yo AMC/AMR to be shadow striker, let us see how that will change his form
