Should I renew player end or start season???

You have six days from the beginning of the season to sign unsigned players whose contracts ended at the conclusion of the previous season.

Money wise and length of contract wise, I think no difference.

Money wise there is a difference. Your player will be a year older after the season start. This means the value and wage will be a little bit lower. So wait until after season start, but make sure to be on time for the first cup match coming up.
