5 games into the season, the game engine's making me throw the league away

It's been just 5 games this season and my team is the strongest in the league. Despite that, my team sucks big time in every damn league game and I've lost 3 already.

Why am I blaming the game engine? Because in my last 2 games (which i lost to much weaker teams despite using the same formations they used; so no counter-formation by them) my players have have shot 15 and 13 shots ; but only 2 and 1 have hit the goal.
In my game today i had 1 shot on goal from 13 shots whereas my opponent got 9 out of 10 on target!

How is this even possible? It's like the game engine wants me to not win any games.

So in protest I will be throwing away the league this season and put a bunch of crappy players on the field, all with hard tackling so that I can injure my opponents' players to screw them over just like Nordeus' game engine has screwed me over. Thanks for bringing me so much joy Nordeus :(

I should also add that the 3rd game I lost this season, I played a team almost 2/3 as good as my team, we both used 4-4-2 and he crushed me 3-0. That one made me very happy

Happened to me last season.. and I think is more challenging... when you get the stronger teams, and you know exactly always wins.. I wouldn't play the game again.. cause it will be bored for me...

I see every day topics like this and i think that i can give you answer (not sure just from my 1 year exp).I am 13 lvl and i play with 1 sistem all 13 seasons.When i need player i always try to buy most expensive,i prefer to have 1 top player than 5 ****s.You know CR7 is AMC/AML/AMR and his price is big but in footbal team have so mutch AMC but not many cost like him.You can have full 5* team but if heyr price is lower for your lvl they will loose from 3* better quality teams.With this strategy i have 7 CL winner and 3 time runner up for 13 seasons,win 11 leage and just 1 second place.For exampe now my team cost almost 900 mln 81 quality today i win 4:0 vs team who cost 483 mln 83 quality i play 4-4-2 he 4-1-2-1-2.I am not 100% sure about this but for me work good.
If you can be in top 4 better stay in same lvl next season..

2 league draws in a row. I've not been good enough as most of my attention has gone on my cup games.

For this I blame myself.

Still, my squad should be beating these, I'm not doing the players justice. The 2-2 draw, he played a 1 star left back at left back and a 5 star left back at right mid and I still had to chase the game. Madness.

same here, I have the best team in my league yet after 5 games (2W, 2D, 1L) I'm 7th. still long time to go but it's going to be really hard to close the gap and even be close to winning it.

Last season i got knocked out of CL by a guy running 3-2DML/R-3N-2 in Semi-Finals, he went on to win it all, perfect record playing that formation the entire CL, he managed a 5th place in his League, but he was playing all his aces in the CL, funny this season he got pwned in both opening matches on the Cup by a guy running SAME formation as him, so now all he has to play for is his League, i friended him just to follow his progress due to my curiosity as to how he will perform this season running same tactic, he is undefeated in his League so far and his smallest win margin is by 4 so far, he does have really good competition and i just can't wrap my mind into his high scoring simple formation :confused:

That's very strange as when I fail in cups, I boss in the League. This season I'm scraping through cup games and struggling in the League. If I could keep form, I'd have a really good season.

today my team draw facing teams full of 1* in my league !!! was out with the wife .. so didn't watch it .. but my mistake too .. i should been watching it .. and shouldn't play attacking formation when planning not to watch

i dont think it makes any difference by watching it. The results are set 3 mins before ur game start. So by watching i guess its just for the fun of the game that don't change the result

the bitch fit isnt about conceding the league. It's about the game engine not letting my team manage to get any shots on target. And about being crushed by a worse team when both used the same tactics (and none of the goals were from counterattacks, corners or freekicks). Just shouldn't be happening.

I was conceding/Tanking the league in protest to that.
It would be wise to actually read what I wrote instead of just reading a few words and making up the contents yourself. Try it, I promise you it's beneficial to us both :)

after thinking about how to concede the league , i just realized that it's not the easiest thing to do. You have to not lose the games too big, coz then you'll be losing morale boosters for being dominated. And you can't lose too many games coz then you'll be relegated. You also have to make sure you don't win too many games so you accidentally end up 7th and get promoted.

Relegated? I did not think this was a possibility. Unless I am mistake it is not possible to be relegated. So tank it! pull a QPR!

You said the game engine is making you throw the league away, i.e your conceding the league after a few results.

I lost to a team yesterday with 15 quality less than mine! I had 70% possession, 15 shots on target to his 3 and lost 1-0!! same games your just not meant to win!! lol

You can't be relegated, but relegation is pretty much effectively having to stay at the same level as half the teams of your server will advance to the next level while you wont.

conceding ur league, u will only stay on ur current level for next season. Btw, its the same thing since the top 7 will get promoted and u will be facing them.

At the halfway stage last season, I was in 6th place in the league and was 7 points behind the leader. I even said on here, that I might throw the league. But I carried on and..... WON THE LEAGUE ON THE LAST DAY. So don't give up, its far too early.

It happened today again!

I played my 4-star team vs a 3-star team at home. I had 16 shots.... ONLY TWO on goal!! Of course I lost, despite dominating possession.

3 games in a row now my players cannot hit the goal. This just can't be random - can it?

I'm experiencing the opposite. Only finished 5th in my first season, but trained my boys up well, always training them as soon as they are fit enough, I also use friendlies to get the reserves playing so they will get top up points - I sell any player who isn't rating well over a few games and buy sensible. I have bought a couple of scout players which help loads - 6 games in and I'm sitting fairly comfortably on top.

I use a 3-1-4-2 formation.

Cup game tonight [less than 30 minutes away actually] where I'm facing a full on scouted team. Oh well ... He's paid a lot for his win.

At level 2 id consider conceding 5 goals in six games as a fail. I only let in 5 in the whole season!
