The disappointing thing is, I used the versatile attacker SA on my ST/AML, then added a second special ability for him. I ended up with corner kick SA, which I already have on my wingers. Plus, I got also corner kick as the first SA for a DC last two seasons, I got lucky and received free kick for another striker, and defensive wall for another DC. This season the ā€œrandomnessā€ was not in my favor.
I got lucky this time, for the first time, with my second SA. What a player this could be, I hope he lives up to expectations.

Not bad i would prefer 1on1 finisher. Given the information we have about versatile is player tends to run forward and use spaces in penalty area which should complement 1on1 ability perfectly. Your player will run forward or execute long range shoots from outside of the box ? Very confusing lol.

He can do both, threat in front of goal and if opponent's defense is too good he shoots from distance lol

So coming back to this thread again, my new player with the versatile attacker special ability had an okay first season. He missed the first week of the season, because I didn't train him there, and still managed to put up decent numbers and is my second best goal scorer in the league (of course behind freekick taker)...
However I'm not sure how good this SA really is/was. Will see how he does in the future, generally speaking I'd say, that the set piece specialist SA from the sponsor before was better value.

How did your versatile attackers do in this first full season?

So I'm coming back to this old thread here to give my final review on the versatile attacker SA. The player I gave it to back then was now dropped to the bench after playing close to 500 matches for my club and scoring 373 goals, which translates to about 0.75 goals per game. Regarding assists he was not flashy or anything as well.

Mainly I used him as an AMC, but sometimes also as a 2nd striker, for most of his career alongside Klose. Klose has a goal per game ratio of 0.81 with just the normal SA 1on1 striker and another useless second SA.
(Please note that my best scorers are my AML and AMR, so these 2 were 3rd and 4th scorer in my team respectively)

I didn't notice any special things he does better than other players. Of course it is hard to tell for me as I don't use the 3D animations in the game and play text mode. Overall he was decent, but nothing more.
To conclude I can not really recommend the SA, however due to the lack of useful SAs in the striker department, I could see myself using it again in combination with 1on1 striker on another player playing mainly as ST.

So I bought a fast trainer AMC/AMR 18 yo 80% ability that I will develop next year.
This way I managed to complete also the task of buying a below 20 yo 80% at least quality
I bought mine about a week ago. But he was only about 68% so it wouldn't of counted for the task anyway. He's 110% now and he's still improving okay in training better then some other players. He's one of the best fast trainers I've had. Now he's got that ability we will see how he goes tonight in the friendly tournament. So I didn't bother with that 80% task, I paid the 25 tokens instead because I didn't have the cash to buy a player of auction lol. And I've done well on tapjoy this month so for 1st time I'm blessed with tokens lol

Really. They gave you corner for your defender? Gutted. I got Defensive Wall for my DC which was good because he's only 18 and for my 2nd SA I got free kick for my AML to go with his corner which is what I wanted because I dropped my other free kick specialist. I got lucky with that reward. Last season I got dribbler for my DL lol.

Potential to be lethal lol. Just think if you could of added the versatile attacker as a 2nd Special ability. People would of been putting it on the player who Got the Special Set Piece Taker SA from last season lol.

I have just played my player for the 1st time with versatile attacker ability. This is what happened and what I could see from the highlights.

    1. He scored a Hatrick
    2. He won man of the match
    3. He got a 10 rating. Lol

On the highlights and there was a lot of him lol. What I could see is that his passing and shooting is rapid. He scored 2 goals by just dinking the ball forward a little bit past the defender and then running on to it with a rapid turn of speed. I have never scored goals like that before and he certainly hasn't. His third goal was long range and it was like a bullet. Overall the ability seemed to me to make the player cleverer. He didn't just do the same things. He was trying all different ways to score. I personally after seeing that would not put one on one scorer ability, or a shadow striker or a dribbler ability on with it I think it would be a waste of a ability you could use elsewhere. He was doing all the things them 3 abilities do and he was doing them better than the players in my team who have those abilities. If I was to add any ability I would most probably add free kick. Sorry for going on. Just wanted to share my thoughts. He also scored 2 in my friendly tournament match and got a 9. Both one on one with the keeper. To me after the disappointment of the 7-9 star defender it's more than made up for that. Credit to nordeus for a change lol
