I have a level 5 account and would like to buy a player from a level 2 club. When I make the offer on the player I want, the game apparently has an error and disconnects from the server.

Can I buy players from clubs below level 4?

Regarding your issue, both teams must be above level 4.

The game could display a message saying that we cannot buy or bid on players from clubs with 3 or less levels.

Don't get confused. You can buy from teams that are 3 or more levels below you. As long as they are above level 4.
