1st Special Ability

Is the 1st Special Ability (level 14 of the regular Special Sponsor) always the same in a given season for players with the same abilities pool, or is it random every time?
For example, if I use it on AMR and get the Penalty-kick Specialist, will everyone else get it for players with potential Pen-kick?

Last season I tried it on a FT DR in a hope to get either Aerial def, or Defensive wall, or Corner spec (3 useful out of 5, not bad odds), but got the Pen-kick. For me that was a wasted player and he went to the Auction right away, that I was very sad about. I asked my association mate and he also got Pen-kick for his AMR.
A few seasons ago both of us got SS ability from a 'random' 2nd ability applied on a AM/ST.

Actually it's not random. 90% of managers are getting penalty or corner ability what they don't want.

The probabilities may be different for it still being random.
But may be it is just fixed during the season, so you can use the experience from other accounts to test it and decide where to apply...?

In the latter case we can post it in this thread, what position it was applied for and what we got.

The first few installements of the sponsor, I got corner kick ability to my DCs and a MC. Then I played it safe and used it on my GKs. After that, I’ve been very lucky with shadow striker on AML, free kick on ST, defensive wall on DC… but for the last couple of seasons, I’m all getting penalty kick regardless of position (even in random 2nd ability turned out to be PK). Maybe they are just adjusting so that we get good ones for a period then useless ones for a while and it cycles?

It is really stupid engine! Now i got DR-DC-MR with free kick SA. Hellooo... on this combination of positions shoothing is grey skill!

That's why on your main squad players you shouldn't leave it to chance and instead train the ability that you want. The 40/50 points on a fast trainer can be easily trained with only 35 greens or less. If you decide to leave it to chance, well... you know what you signed up for.

35 to 38 greens but when the player is FT and 60-70% Q.
