Every player is different. I can't speak for your player, I'm sorry. The risk is purchasing the player and hoping he does well.

But out of all the U21 token players that I have signed, all of them have been successful.

They are good, but you need to be investing your green boosters for training into that U21 youth player to make him a good player.

I can confirm this. Currently have 2 Token u21's (14 and 24 tokens) on my team. They are good, but you need to Power train them otherwise they can't keep a competitive quality, despite being fast trainers, as they start as low 4*.

in my experience (level 6 with a full academy) as long as you have at least 1 available slot in your squad you will get offered both players and you then have 7 days to decide which one you want to sign.

But I am fairly sure you still get 7 days to make that decision for both new recruits even if you have no available slots... It just means you ether sell a player and then sign the youth academy player or you release the academy players once you have decided not to purchase them.
