good morning,
ive just received my first 2 players from the youth set up. one has a rating of 33 but will cost me 24 tokens to sign. is it possible ill get another player this good, who will cost me less tokens?
the other player is rated 23 and cost me 0 tokens

Then I guess if your 23Q cost you nothing, it's because he is low leveled compared to your squad. To be confirmed though. 20ish tokens for a young from the academy is normal, but at the opposite than a transfer and/or from the recruiter, you don't pay any fee, you just have 7 days so sign him up.
so any player whos rated higher than the squads average q is likely to cost me 20+ tokens?
Every time your academy generates 2 players you get:
- a crappy one for free. you better sell him asap, someone from the lower levels will buy
- a medium\high one, who costs 20/24 tokens but is a very fast grower
My personal experience: don't buy players from the youth academy, unless it is in the average q of your team or in the exact position you need
iv kept hold of the 23q player as he is now my third best striker, so im selling my other st.
im tempted now, nicky, to sign this other lad on. i have a 33q midfielder already, but i may trust what you say, and if hes a very fast grower then i wont need to sign another centre mid for a good few seasons.
