How does club ownership work?

I have a friend in the same league as me and his club's name would always appear blue to me.
But a few days ago I saw the name turn white and when i checked, it became a bot team, but the most screwed up part of it all is that my friend-turned bot team is now challenging me to friendlies on a consistent basis... what do i do bout this?

make sure he is not your friend in the game. usually he will be blue if he is your friend, but make sure you unfriend him in FB if he is not already unfriended in the game. then re-friend him in fb after.

This is a bit confusing. As you say, he was highlighted in blue as a friend. What I can't understand is that now he is a bot, and shows up in WHITE, he should no longer be a friend. So how can he arrange friendlies?

tried everything, couldnt be bothered in the end and removed him from my friend list altogether, I was never really close with him anyways.

1. How did a player-controlled team turn into a bot team?
2. How does a bot team arrange friendlies? ( Nordeus conspiracy? )

if hes inactive for some time then it changes into a bot team....and for your second question, totally no idea.

Even if i do provide a screenshot... it would only show him as any other ordinary team in my league ( albeit a bot one ) coz i didnt think to take a screen shot of him while he was still player- controlled
