I think it would be great for you to share your tactics and formations. This will help others too :D
Some questions
- What formation did you use the most?
- What orders did you put with them?
- Did you play with any arrows?
- Did you rely on counter formations?
- Any advice for anyone using your tactics?

- What orders did you put with them? normal/attacking, own half, both flanks, mixed passing, zonal marking
- Did you play with any arrows? blue on DMC to counter AMC and red on AML/AMR
- Did you rely on counter formations? sometimes
- Any advice for anyone using your tactics? Reliable tactic. Got me to the Champions League final and only lost 1 times in league with reserves
For me, I relied mainly on flank based formations rather than using a suitable counter. My counter was whatever I could think of best but using an AML/AMR and it actually worked. When I was up against a formation that was flank protected, I reverted to the narrow diamond.
So I mainly used 4-5-1v and the butterfly.
My tactics were:
Attacking mentality
Down both flanks
Own half pressing
Normal tackling
Mixed passing
Zonal marking
Counter: ON
Offside: OFF
RED arrows were always on my AML/AMR and my striker. Never used blue arrows and I recommend against using it. I would also recommend NOT using an offside trap as it's a pretty useless feature in the game. For anyone using the 4-5-1v and butterfly, start off with own half pressing, if you don't seem to be scoring then switch to whole pitch pressing. In some circumstances, using whole pitch can work against you so try not to use it all the time! (think getting countered all the time)
What do you make of having force counter with the 4-5-1v? It didn't have any effect for me.Quote:

Any advice for anyone using your tactics? its realiable formation, i am unbeaten this season in league, and in total i have 2 defeats ( in Cup 0-1,0-1).

Passing down the flanks, Normal mentality, Normal Tackling, Pressing Own Half, No counters, No offside trap, Zonal Marking.
The only formation i generally had to counter was the Narrow diamond, and then i would use 3N-1-3N-2W-1

1- Flat 4- 4- 2...
2 - Normal, Mixed, Own Half, Mixed & Zonal...

4- No...i used the same formation for 99% of the season...
5- Find a formation that works for you and stick too it...dont change it every match like some do...

Yes, red arrows on each AML/ AMR and blue arrows on centre defender.
Did you rely on counter formations?
It is the only way you can win, no point in thinking your formation is the best and losing.
Any advice for anyone using your tactics?
Focus on winning one form of the game. CL/Cup/League and build from there. Also, don't buy players that don't fit your successful standard formations, as this is the reason I finished 3rd in the league, too much experimentation with different positions. For example, bought a scout AMC and he really didn't fit my team. It was not that he was getting low scores (averaged 7), it's just the team lost every game when I played a formation with an AMC, I couldn't work out how to use him effectively. I sold him before the end of season, something I hated doing.
1. 4-4-2 classic
2. varies, but mostly attacking, mixed passing, down both flanks, zonal, whole pitch, normal tackling, offside trap
3. red arrows on DL / DR / ML / MR and blue arrows on both DC
4. when faced a formation countering my 4-4-2 I changed it to counter
5. use it wisely
Season 2 - Triple CL,Cup,league winner
1 4-5-1V style
2 normal (attacking), mixed, flanks, own half or pitch, normal tackling, no offside, no counter
3 Arrows on AML/AMR, DMC switching depending on enemy formation, no blues on defenders (got lots of long shots against when I did)
4 Only a bit (lack of good subsitutes, changing orders to counter worked fine)
5 Get good AML AMR, my AMR with freeckick scored more then 1 avg per game. 4-5-1V can be very versatile change orders/arrows according to enemy formation.
