All of last season, I was looking for a left-sided midfielder. I entered a couple of auctions, achieved nothing and struggled for most of the season.
Beginning of a new season, crazy transfer market so I just watched and laughed.
Just now, a fine player - 22 y.o. ML, AML, 4* close to 5, corner kick SA, affordable was on the market. I watched the auction out of interest, expecting a mad bidding war. Initial round, loads of bidders. Knockout round 1 - no bids. Not one single bidder. Someone got that bad boy for one token.
So I thought, perhaps this is a quiet moment in the market, chance for me. So two minutes later there was another player, not as good - older, lower quality, no SA but still a player I would take after such a long wait. I chucked in a token in the initial round. I watched knockout round 1 - 6 bidders, so I stayed out. Eventually he went in round 16, for more than triple his market value. Madness.

I'll never stop thinking about the one that got away this season.

I bid for a player at the start of season, age 23 5* MV above 3M one other guy entered at the final seconds I thought I will go up to 5T, when it reached round 4 I said to my self bid up to 10T, finaly I lost and waste 27T, and than I asked my self why! BTW I checked other guy team full of 2*at level4 team quality 19.

I saw an auction for a 48 q dc/dr which had a lot of bidders but no one bid in the ko round....thought I would try my luck and went after a 48 q striker but suddenly people started bidding in the ko round and I got out of there in the 3rd ko round

you guys have small problems,look in topic for crazy bidders and you will see ppl who can bid 155KO."Lucky winner"buy player who cost 8mln for 232mln...

I know about those auctions, I've seen a few. My point was more about the guy who went for one token - why did I not bid for him. WHY??

I have had that a fair few times in the past where I was tempted to go for a player, but thought others will bid at the last second like it usually does, but no one ends up bidding/

I can slightly top that though. How about attempting to bid for a player with 6 seconds left on the clock but, due to the crappy phone signal, the bid doesn't go through in time(!!) and you see that no one else went for the player either?

I lost 41T today and got nothing out of it. I need CB's and I watched a few after and they went for basically a token.

I even saw a T11 friend as a first bidder and someone else bid and it was a two horsed race and I thought he would bid on the last second, he didn't. Unbelievable.
