If I put an MC in, say a DMC or an AMC position, how much will his performance be affected?
I believe that they will play there but not perform well (unless it's a position that they are already trained for)...
Don't do it unless you really have to (e.g. an injury) as im sure it will probably have negative effect overall...
I didn't watch my games today and my DMC got injured so my CM was subbed on in place playing DMC and the CM started the second game in DMC and scored lol. Not bad for a player out of position.
I think it affects possession, mostly.
play a GK as CD and you 'll see that's not a bad ideal.
i put my ML in AML position in EVERY MATCH and he did get 7 above rating after EVERY match. sometimes man of the match.you should tested first whether that player able to perform well in the position he is not proficient with . now my ML is regular in the AML position now.
never had a problem. Lucky one. he is a DML ML player. he never played in ML and DML since i bought him .
If you put them in similar positions like ml=aml dc=dmc str=amc they will do ok

The club currently leading my league this season is playing a DML/ML as a striker. He's scored in most games and gets good ratings with a few MOM awards to boot.
Very odd since he has a ST on the bench, but it seems to be working for him, so who knows what to think?
They do fine if you do that for a game or two, but if you constantly play them out of position their morale will drop by a huge margin and then it's inevitable that they get bad forms. Just don't use a GK for that - keepers must always be in position, otherwise it's an illegal formation.
