Help with Tactic

Hey guys I am running this tactic and it seems very good. Winning big every time.. except today. This is my team :


BUT then I met this guy.. whom is actually 5.2 average skill lvl lower then me :


I noticed his placement before I met him... but thought I wanted to start out with my own since my team is that much better and I am playing home match.

2 Min into the game he had 2 chances and get a penalty and BOOM 0-1 for him. I had a backup tactic that I worked on, and have seen alot of places.. it was this :


and yes I won the game 2-1 BUT this isen´t okay for me... he is SO much lower quality like the other guys I meet atm ( I am only rank 2 atm ) but I useally win like 5-1...6-0 or something like that.. and this guy really put me to the test.

The way I see it my 2nd setup should have worked alot better, since I changed tactics to this : Attacking, on both sides, short passing, zonal.

Can you guys see something I don´t see and tell me why I diden´t cream this guy completly ?

Yes I see something - it's called RANDOM - is part of the new engine upgrade and it gets bigger and bigger every season.
Get used to it or adapt your tactic as you did. If you don't watch the games and change your tactics you have less chances to win. But as any rule has exceptions - every now and then you'll find that no matter what you do you can't win - even if you opponent is weaker.

PS: a flexible team with lots multi-role players and talent can make a big difference in winning or loosing.
