players out of position

hello
i was wondering if players get penalized for playing out of their position, for example: a DL playing in a DC role?

any help people can give i would be grateful

From experience, players who play just 1 square from their preferred position can still play well, but obviously not as good. So an ML can play well as AML and vice versa

You can train your players for another role as well! If you AMC is always playing MC, train him for this position.

Never do this. 50 skillpoints to train another position is very suboptimal. If you need a MC instead of an AMC, just buy one or let the AMC play in the MC position if he's doing well there.
Those 50 skillpoints are over 3 quality points. The only thing worth doing with skill points is using them for quality.

i agree killerbee a massive waste of skill points. hes been playing well where he is just wanted to know if there was a percentage rule in which they would lose
