I was wondering why some players lose some value when awarded their first skill point of a new season.

Example: McClearly had a value of $26.0 million, and after assigning a skill point, I saw his value drop to $25.9 million. I've also seen players lose value in smaller increments, such as from $5.21 to $5.20.

Has anyone else seen this? Does it happen to particular players and/or can you predict when it may happen?
