I can only check for difference in the first decimal after I bought the player (selling value). An indication of the region of the value of the decimal (for example, lower 113M or upper 113M) can be found by checking the value of first bid in auction (114M or 115M), but this cannot be done for daily and recommendation players.
I bought the daily recommended player that showed for today.

His market value is lower (lower decimal value) than that of very fast trainers for this level. So, it seems that he is on the lower side of the fast training scale. Maybe he is a second class fast trainer. I need to make training tests. How much gain in skill % per condition a first class fast trainer and second class fast train should gain at this quality level (102%)?
I would say avg 7-8% skills in two sets of 15-16% condition loss.
I made 7 sets of (Warm Up, 4x GK Training, Stretch).
Results
Gain Condition Lost +1 Reflexes, + 1 Throwing 13.67% +1 Agility, +1 Aerial Reach, +1% Kicking 13.33% +1 Reflexes, +1 Aerial Reach 13.00% +1 Agility, +1 Throwing, +1 Strength 14.33% +1 Fitness 13.33% +1 Reflexes,+1 Agility, +1 Aerial Reach, +1 Speed 14.00% +1 Kicking, +1 Throwing 13.50%
Total Gain: 17%
Total Condition Loss: 95.16%
Average Gain per 15% Of Condition Lost: 2.684%
This is far from the average of 4% gain per 15% of condition lost.
It is as I expected - on the lower side of a fast trainer.
So, what you say? 2.684% gain in skills per green pack spent is not even second class fast trainer, right?
If you buy 3 players and they are all valued 114M and you are wondering which of them is the fastest trainer. Then you have to go to the players contract page and press the sell at auction button. Then, and only then, you will see that current players real value in full. Let's say one of them is valued 114 100M, the other is 114 200M and the last one is valued 114 800M. So from here we can pretty much say that the last one with the 114 800M valuation is the fastest trainer out of these three, assuming that they are close to same quality.
Edit: Try not to sell your players accidentally..
@ Hejst is correct
In auctions, you can have only some hint.
When going in auctions, make a sorting by the value.
Here for example
Brandt is a fast trainer. his value is bigger than Watson, an almost 6* player.
Keegan, the DC, is not a fast trainer.

After buying, you check the sell value and compare it with other players of your team too (do also the sorting by value)

Zatko probably after some training to get the 6*, will be at 129.200 K
Rousar seems that he is not fast trainer.
Tobollik maybe is 2nd class ft.

* You see that Zatko's wage is little bigger than Rousar so probably a smaller factor- but that doesn't exist anymore.
You mean Zatko is a significantly faster trainer than Rousar? Did you verfiy that? Take into consideration that Rousar is a 20 y.o compared to Zatko's 18.
You are spot on concerning using the value as the first indicator but the wage value might still contribute (at least in the medium levels). When I do comparisons, I consider value relative to the players quality but I check the wage value too.
I used only few greens for extra training of Rousar. Not significant but he is medium player.Quote:

Those players loose more after their 21 y.o. so consuming much more greens to keep them till 23-24.
The age for 18-21 y.o. firstborn players doesn't . Later they 're loosing value considering the next generation of ft.
All those years , with more teams besides my main and in lower levels where the max value is very obvious,
I have found 20 y.o. players with max value but few times bought them as their ft life is shorter.
