I bought a scout which was 7*, nearly 8* and he played 4 seasons in all competitions (200 games) and in his 5th season he is a high 4* aged 27. But bought another scout GK to replace him, who is high 7*. So it depends what you think is better. I like to have a mix of both scouts and youth players which train fast.

Nordgens are best players, even without powertraining they should last few seasons. I had ST who played for my team 4 seasons, played 95 matches for my team, 54 goals (for club), 33 assists (last season, other not counted). Now I have nordgen LB, he plays his 3rd season and still has 5* rating.
If you still want to buy scout, then buy only CM. Look for younger cm (22-24 are usually youngest scouts) with FK SA or corner SA, quallity near 7 stars.

Btw. Last season i've played CL semi finals (3rd) and won cup with 35T/season.
