I have a lot of success against that formation with the 4-1-2-2-1 V formation.

AMR-------------AML

As he has better quality, orders:
Mentality: Defensive
Focus: Down both flanks
Tackling: Normal/Hard
Pressure: Own half.
Passing: Short/Mixed
Marking: Zonal
Offside: No
Force counter: No

If you get desperate add up arrows to the DR/DL & AMR/AML, switch to Mentality: Normal.
I think if you attack him he will nail you good and proper on the counter attack.
