I am in the knockout stage of the cup and am a level 3 quality 36.2 and playing a level 6 quality 46.0 his formation

I know he has the better quality. I tried to play safe in the first match with heavy defense 5-3-2 and he beat me 2-0

What would you suggest, I have good all round players, would it be best to stick with my heavy defense or same formation as his, or what formation would you recommend.
