Offside trap goes with whole pitch pressure. I'm not sure whether the number of defenders and strikers affects it, though I think it would be more effective with less defenders. I'd also look to have faster defenders than their strikers, and have a goalkeeper that can handle their strikers one-on-one in case the offside trap fails.

I'm not sure about morale, but it's definitely more tiring to play whole pitch pressure. That's why I never play whole pitch pressure nor offside traps.

Regarding the formation, you'll have more penetration down the right, I guess.
