How to exploit the new Cup System

There are 2 ways you can exploit the new Cup system they have applied this Season.

1.)

If you're a high level Manager make sure you buy new players at the begin of the new Season (not at the end) to push your Quality to max when Cup matches are ALREADY made. It will stick you in a group with managers on your Quality before you buy/bought the new players.


2.)

You fill up your Bench and Sub with young and cheap 3* Players and keep them till they age out. After 2 Seasons they will be 1* Players but make sure to keep them. You'll downgrade your Overall Quality with that players to have high chances to win the Cup

I did like that because I sold my players :) and I had a lot of free agents so yes is pretty an exploit :D

1 is common sense, everyone buys players to increase their average

2 is a good idea

Guess what I got a 2* Youth Player yesterday and I havent sold him yet and now he is 1* and I'm going to keep him until he is 34 years old and NEVER assign any skill points.... lololololol

Yeah i am. If you get a few very poor subs or bench players they will push down your quality by far. My friend has 13 rly good players like mine and all other still from seasons 1 or 2 which are 1* now and he is in a lower cup then me. Too bad i didn't do that but will do it now

Not everyone has enough tokens or money to risk a bidding war at the begin of the new season, that's why many managers buy close before the end of the Season players. the 1st way is meant for those ppl, to save their tokens and risk it in the new season for better chances in the cup

Totally jumping on the number 2 bandwagon.

Gonna be collecting me some 1* players and helloooooooooooo cup glory!

It's too late for this season now.. Nordeus already sorted you with teams around your current quality.. What's the point of buying them now?? Buy them around the end of the season

Instead of finding players to improve our roster, Nordeus push us to exploit the engine with lower quality...

I want to punch on the nose that nordeus idiot that had this cup idea. Why on the nose ??? because it makez a lot of hurtz!!!!

Yup this new format sucks. I will basically use four quality backups and everyone else 3 stars and below. Starting next season since I already purchased my takens.

I just dropped my QL by 6 almost 7 points for the next season and saved my €'s to not spend for Tokens.

How about your other bids? You're better off doing this near the end of the season, since all you want is some crap players to sit on your bench.

Personally, I can't really do that, since I use close to a full 22-man squad; I change my formation to counter the opponent.

Next season I'm keeping all players and sell then at the beginning of next season to get cash and buy more scouts

1: token buyer will get new players at the start of season and the usual common player will buy at the end of the season ...
2: lower quality of team = lower players in coup and the prizes too , and about a competitive coup better try more fair-play !

Am i the only one who was Q23 at season end, waited the market of new season to open, got some ppl with better quality, but was already paired vs someone 10 points stronger? o.ò

I know something better than buying 3* players from the transfer market, Keep your 2* youth players.

That's what I plan to do. I'll only have space for 2 or 3 crap players, though.

you know what would be funny? people buying crappy players to exploit the cup system next season, only to realise nordeus will change the cup again to prevent this exploit. :))

Not even 1/4 of the top11 players ever used this forum. 2/4 are inactive and/or used by the Bot......

guys, calm down. this has one major issue.
if you will decrease level of your team at the end of the season and your team will be weak at the begining of the next, you will end up in the league which will already contain couple of strong players with scouts and after upgrading the team you will be just one of them and you will face an issues to win your league/qualify to cl.
If your team will be strong at the end of the season you will start the next one as one or the strongest player. so question is, is your cup worth to sacrify league position for it ?
